Privacy Policy

At BiltyX ("we," "our," or "us"), we know that trust is the foundation of any good business relationship. We built our platform to help you run your transport and logistics operations smoothly, and keeping your data safe is a massive part of that.

This Privacy Policy explains in plain language what information we collect when you use the BiltyX website, web application, Android app, or iOS app (collectively, the "Platform"), why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it.

By using BiltyX, you agree to the practices described in this policy. This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and does not require physical or digital signatures.

What Information Do We Collect?

To provide you with the best possible experience and tools to manage your business, we collect the following types of information:

Information About You (The User/Business):

Your name, business name, and address.

Contact details (phone number, email address).

    Business identifiers like your GSTIN.

Your company logo (to print on your documents).

Bank account details (so you can print them on your invoices/receipts).

Documents you generate using our platform (Biltys, Invoices, Quotations, Vehicle Condition reports, etc.).

Communication records if you contact our customer support team.

Information About Your Customers:

To help you generate documents and manage your business, you will naturally input data about your clients. We securely store this on your behalf, which may include:

Your client’s name, address, and contact number.

Your client’s email address.

Your client’s GSTIN.

Survey responses or digital signatures collected via links you share with them.

Note: You own this data. We only store it so you can access your customer database and generate future documents quickly.

How Do We Use Your Information?

  • We only use your information to make BiltyX work for you. Specifically, we use it for:
  • Running Your Account: To register your profile, log you in securely, and auto-fill your business details on the documents you create.
  • Providing the Service: To let you generate, save, search, and share your Biltys, invoices, and other operational documents.
  • Customer Support: To help you resolve any technical issues, answer your questions, or respond to feedback.
  • Platform Improvements: We look at non-personal, aggregated data (like which features are used the most) to understand how we can make the app faster and better for everyone.
  • Communication: To send you important updates about your account, subscription renewals, or new feature announcements.

How Do We Share Your Information?

We only share your information in these very specific, limited situations:

  • Essential Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party services to keep BiltyX running smoothly (like cloud hosting providers to store your data safely, or payment gateways to process your subscription fees). We only share the absolute minimum data they need to do their jobs.
  • Legal Requirements: If we are legally required to do so by a court order, law enforcement, or government authority, we will share the necessary information to comply with the law.
  • Business Transfers: If BiltyX is ever acquired by or merged with another company, your data will be securely transferred to the new owners under the same strict privacy commitments.

Note on Payments: We do not store your credit/debit card details. When you pay for a subscription, that data goes directly to our secure, authorized payment gateway partners.

How Do We Protect Your Data?

Your business data is your livelihood, and we take its security seriously.

  • Encryption: Your data is encrypted both when it is traveling over the internet (in transit) and when it is resting on our servers (at rest).
  • Secure Infrastructure: We use industry-standard firewalls and secure cloud hosting to protect against unauthorized access.
  • Regular Backups: We back up your data regularly so you don’t lose your important business records if your device breaks or gets lost.

While we use the best technology available to protect your data, no system on the internet is 100% foolproof. We constantly monitor our systems, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

Sometimes, you might see links to other websites within our platform (for example, a link to a payment provider's terms). Once you click those links and leave BiltyX, our Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any other websites you visit, as we cannot control how they handle your data.

Resolving Disputes

If we ever have a disagreement regarding this Privacy Policy, we agree to try and sort it out amicably first.

  • Mediation: We’ll spend 30 days trying to resolve the issue through friendly mutual discussion.
  • Arbitration: If we can’t figure it out within 30 days, the dispute will be settled through binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will happen in [City, State], India, and will be conducted in English by a single arbitrator appointed by BiltyX.

This policy is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [City, State] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters that go to court.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever have a disagreement regarding this Privacy Policy, we agree to try and sort it out amicably first.

Technology and laws change, and sometimes our policies need to change with them. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top. If the changes are major, we’ll send you a notification in the app or via email.
